SMS Opt-In

How we ask for
SMS consent.

Good Fold uses SMS for transactional order-update texts only โ€” order confirmation, shipping, pickup-ready, and problems with your order. Phone numbers are verified via a one-time SMS code at checkout before the order is submitted. This page mirrors the live verification pop-up where customers actually opt in.

Live Consent Pop-Up (Mirror)

When the customer enters their phone number at checkout and taps Verify, this pop-up appears. The disclosure shown at the bottom is where transactional SMS consent is captured โ€” tapping Send Code is the consent action. The block below reproduces the live pop-up verbatim.

Demonstration only โ€” a frozen reproduction of the live OTP pop-up. Actual opt-in: customer enters their phone, taps Send Code (consent), then enters the 6-digit verification code we text to that number.
Order Update Texts

When a customer places an order, we use the phone number provided to send texts about that order โ€” order confirmation, pickup-ready notifications, shipping updates, and any problems with the order. These messages are transactional only; we do not send marketing or promotional texts. The disclosure shown inside the verification pop-up reads, verbatim:

By continuing, you agree to receive transactional order-update texts from Good Fold at this number (confirmation, pickup-ready, shipping, problems with your order). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

How Consent Is Captured

The checkout flow captures consent in this order:

  • Customer enters their phone number on the checkout page and taps Verify.
  • An OTP pop-up appears with the disclosure shown above. Tapping Send Code is the consent action โ€” we send a one-time verification SMS to the entered number.
  • Customer enters the 6-digit code in the same pop-up to confirm ownership of the number before placing the order.
  • Each text sent afterwards is tied to a specific order placed by the verified recipient.

Compliance Summary

  • Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe โ€” one confirmation message, then nothing further.
  • Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Message frequency varies by order โ€” typically two to six texts per order.
  • Msg & data rates may apply.
  • Mobile information and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
